“For many of the cast, this was their first professional performance, and Abbey’s hunch paid off in taking a chance on raw talent.” - Herald Sun - Melbourne
“The highlight of Fame: The Musical is Kelley Abbey’s extravagant, culture-hopping choreography, performed with dynamism and grace. The dance draws inspiration from every corner of the globe: from the strength and delicacy of Talia Fowler’s classical ballet routines, to sharp urban break-dancing from Timomatic.
Some of the most effective and spectacular dance comes through big-scale chorus numbers: an elaborate Argentine tango that sees the whole stage surging to Latin rhythms, or the modern pop choreography made famous by the movie, complete with acid wash jeans and Bedazzled crops tops.” - The Age - Melbourne
“Director and choreographer Kelley Abbey has delivered her large cast with all the discipline and precision of Radio City Music Hall’s famous Rockettes and every dance piece is so finely honed that it has the improbable precision and perfection of a video clip.
Group numbers, such as the tango that opens the second act, are superbly delivered, as is the famous closing song from the film Fame, I’m Gonna Live Forever, which the band plays loudly enough to leave the ears of audience members ringing for days.” - The Australian

Marko in Fame = Famebloodytastic!!!!! Just saw show today and have already booked tickets for another show!!! Talent and passion alongside Kelly Abbey’s pure genius direction made for a fantastic experience!!!! Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou!
Saw matinee Sat 16/11/10 loved the dancing and seeing so many SYTYCD people in it. Was Lillias’ performance affected by a voice problem that day? Some of the acting could have empathised more with the characters emotions that they were playing eg Tyrone, but loved characterisation of Carmen Diaz and Serena Katz. Also loved your performance throughout.
what role does marko play? is it a lead?
Fame was absolutley awesome, loved it big time!! Marko was brilliant, so passionate and obviously loving it- one of the stand outs for me (wed matinee 17/11).Really decent bloke too, friendly chat at stage door, thanks dudexx
