It was such exciting news to hear our cast of Fame was going to perform at So You Think You Can Dance grand final. Coming back to a show that has given me such a boost in my career and appear next to 7 other past contestants was a very special feeling. This is the 3rd Grand Final i have been a part of for SYTYCD, i have been very blessed to have been part of 3 seasons of SYTYCD. Each season has been a new and different feeling. 1st series as a contestant, 2nd serie’s as a choreographer and this 3rd season as a choreographer and to come back in the production of Fame the musical.
The section of Fame we performed was the opening of Act Two “Duende”. A fire inspired flamenco dance. It was cut short for SYTYCD it has a lot more passion and fire. This is one of my favorite sections in the whole production of Fame.
Working with Kelley Abbey and all the incredible dancers, singers, actors and musicians in the cast has given me a new breath of fresh air in my career. It has pushed me beyond belief and inspired me as a dancer and choreographer.
I am so thankful to SYTYCD for everything it has given to me as a dancer, choreographer and the dance community. I look back at the last three years and i feel such a growth as a person and artist.
